Academic Tour: Education programs for local ethnic communities

Chief Minister of Kayah State U Sein Oo, along with officials, visited basic literacy teaching programs in Loikaw District on February 13, supporting local ethnic communities. They observed ongoing classes where teachers provided education with dedication and encouraged students to improve their skills.

During the visit, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of teaching and the role it plays in brightening students' futures, offering nutritional support. A total of 198 individuals are attending at 18 literacy training sessions in 15 locations across Loikaw, being conducted from February 2 to March 13.

The program is supported by the Department of Alternative Education under the Ministry of Education. Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials visited Lawdhamma Basic Education Branch High School to observe preparations for the 2026 Matriculation Exam, encouraging students to stay healthy and focused on their academic goals.
