Providing funds: Funds from NNDMF disbursed to quake-affected areas

For the implementation of rehabilitation works in earthquake-affected areas, the state is providing funds from the National Natural Disaster Management Fund to swiftly remove damaged debris and support reconstruction efforts.

It has been reported that the National Natural Disaster Management Central Committee has already disbursed 10 billion kyats for Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, 50 billion kyats for Sagaing Region,  60 billion kyats Mandalay Region, 5 billion kyats for Shan State. The allocated funds are to be used by the respective authorities in the affected areas for clearing debris from damaged pagodas, stupas, monasteries, rest houses, ancient historical structures, religious buildings, and other collapsed structures, repair and reconstruction works and providing necessary relief supplies to the affected population.

The funds have been distributed to ensure rapid initial response and effective rehabilitation efforts in the earthquake-hit regions.
