







The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar wishes to express its deepest gratitude and formally record its appreciation for the international search and rescue teams, medical teams, domestic rescue organizations, and all charitable groups involved in relief efforts following the devastating Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28.
In response to the disaster, the state government has been carrying out timely rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. Additionally, the international community has been providing humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and other essential assistance to Myanmar on a daily basis.
The nation and its people are profoundly grateful for this support. A total of 26 countries including Russia, China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, UAE, Laos, Belarus, Indonesia, Bhutan, the Philippines, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Türkiye, the United States, Sri Lanka, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, South Korea, Germany, and Cambodia have contributed humanitarian relief supplies.
Furthermore, 13 countries including Russia, China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, UAE, Belarus, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Türkiye deployed 16 search and rescue teams comprising 1,070 personnel and 38 rescue dogs. These teams collaborated with domestic organizations to conduct on-ground operations, courageously entering collapsed structures to locate and rescue trapped victims. Immediate medical care was also provided to survivors at the rescue sites.
Thanks to the swift efforts of both international and domestic rescue teams, 653 survivors and 778 deceased victims were successfully recovered. Moreover, medical teams from 17 countries including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, the United States, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Germany, India, Laos, Nepal, Singapore, Japan, and Malaysia comprising 28 teams with a total of 1,152 medical professionals, provided successful treatment to 29,206 outpatients, 957 inpatients, and 1,084 surgical patients.
The State and the people of Myanmar deeply acknowledge and sincerely appreciate the tireless, selfless efforts of all international organizations, domestic rescue teams, and charitable groups who worked day and night for the greater good. Their heroic contributions are hereby formally recognized and honored.
