Inspection of regional developments: Shan State CM inspected regional developments

The Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with responsible officials, visited Tachileik District of Shan State (East) to inspect the conditions of road safety, and ongoing urban road construction projects in the area on April 26.

During the visit, the Chief Minister and officials observed the protective measures carried out near the Maesang Stream, located near the ring road in Tachileik Township. They then proceeded to visit the Naga Hna-Kaung Monastery, where they offered donations, robes and other items to the Presideing Sayadaw. Next, they toured the monastery's historical exhibits of Late  Naga Hna-Kaung Monastery Presiding Sayadawgyi. They also examined a proposed area for road construction within the monastery grounds to facilitate easier access to the town. The relevant departments were consulted to coordinate and implement the necessary steps.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge (No. 1), where they inspected the embankment construction activities being carried out by Mindin မင်းဒင် Construction Company. Necessary adjustments and requirements were discussed and addressed.

They also visited the site of a steel and concrete retaining wall project under the supervision of the Tachileik District Administrative Body, carried out by the Yoema Alintan Company. The project was located west of Alura Hotel on April 27, and further inspections were made.

Following this, the Chief Minister and officials met with the various departmental officials at the township combined office in Tachileik District to discuss and provide guidance on the necessary steps for development.

Subsequently, the Chairman of Tachileik District Administraton Body presented a report on regional development activities. Representatives from the departments also provided detailed discussions, followed by additional remarks from the Minister of Social Affairs and other government members, and other officials.

After that, the Chief Minister concluded the event with a closing speech. As part of the second segment of the event, the Chief Minister honored the donors who contributed funds for the relief of victims affected by the earthquake, presenting them with certificates of honor. Chief Minister U Aung Aung, then, delivered a speech of gratitude and presented the certificates to the donors in recognition of their generous contributions.
