Inspection of Staff Welfare: MCRD UM inspected efforts for staff welfare

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by Deputy Minister U Myint Soe and other officials, visited the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area's Department of Rural Road Development (Zabuthiri Township) on April 23.

During the visit, the Union Minister inspected staff housing units, focusing on electricity installation and water supply efforts. He instructed the responsible officials to expedite the provision of full water and electricity access, ensuring that staff families can settle under proper shelter as soon as possible.

Following that, the Union Minister also visited Mahasi Thathana Yeiktha Monastery in Lewe Township, Department of Rural Development (Head Office), Department of Rural Road Development (Head Office), and Department of Small-Scale Industries (Head Office).

There, he met with staff members and observed the distribution of rice, cooking oil, and pulses provided by the National Disaster Management Committee. He then proceeded to the staff welfare shop and instructed that eggs and essential food items be made available for quick sale to support staff needs.

Additionally, the Union Minister inspected the construction of two-unit housing buildings being developed on ministry-owned land to temporarily accommodate staff from the Department of Cooperatives and the Department of Small-Scale Industries, ongoing road construction connecting the site to the main office, a tube well drilling project by the Department of Rural Development and coordinated requirements.
