







The donation ceremony of books and journals for the library of No.12 Basic Education High School was held at the PyinnyarYadana Hall of the school in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on 4th July.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and wife, deputy minister U Ye Tint, departmental officials, vice chairpersons and members of the Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation, chairmen and members of the district and township administration councils, officials concerned and students.
First, documentary video clips were shown. Next, the Union Minister delivered a speech saying that this donation is the first time for the school and he urged the students to make efforts in learning since they are the persons who will shoulder the State’s responsibilities in the future.
They must improve their lives by reading and studying knowledgeable books. He highlighted that the Prime Minister is also providing support for the youth sector and that the students should make efforts to become the outstanding persons who could be relied on. He added that certain books which will benefit young students have been selected for today’s donation.
After that, the Union Minister provided books, journals and bookcases for the school through the Township Education Officer U Than Swe and school principal Daw Cho Cho. Following this, Vice Chairperson of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation Daw Thuzar Wai clarified on the donation and then the Principal expressed words of thanks.
Then, the Union Minister and party encouraged the students who are reading books and journals in the Ottara Alindan Library of No.12 Basic Education High School. The family of the Union Minister for Information donated two bookcases made of teak which worth 1 million kyats.
The Information and Public Relations Department donated 150 books which worth 650,000 kyats and the Printing and Publishing Department donated 370 books which worth over 510,000 kyats for Ottara Alindan Library.
