Ethnic Affairs: Plans for Center for Ethnic Affairs in Taungoo

Plans are underway to construct a Center for Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training (Taungoo) in Bago Region. On Sunday, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, accompanied by officials, inspected the land plot designated for the center and instructed the necessaries.

Official reported on the arrangements for land plots and building to be constructed in five phases and estimated budget allotments in respective fiscal years. The Union Minister stressed the vital role of the Center since Taungoo is being implemented as a Smart City. He also instructed for timely completion of the project in line with the set standard. Upon completion of the center, training courses will be provided for the ethnic youths, contributing to creating job opportunities.
