Donation Ceremony: Religious books donated to the monasteries

A ceremony to donate religious books to the Pariyatti Sarthintaik was held at Sun-U Punya Shin Sasana Beikmandaw in Sagaing on Sunday. The ceremony commenced with the three times recitation of Namosata.

The congregation led by Union Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin received the Five Precepts from the member of the State Sangha Nayaka Committee Shwe Phone Yanthi Monastery Sayadaw, and listened to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

The Union Minister later submitted the purpose of the donation. The computer-typed books of Tipitaka Athta Gadha Treatises and religious books, donated by President U Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and family, were donated during the ceremony.

A total of 51 Athta Gatta Treatises have already been completed and published and they are being donated to the Pariyatti Sarthintaik and Buddhist universities across Myanmar. The Sagaing ceremony was the fifth donation event, following events in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay and Bago.
