






Senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law to oversee the progress of rehabilitation works in cyclone affected areas.
On the 1st of July, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Kyaukphyu Township inspected the collective cleaning work in Uoattama Park of AsoeYa Ward for the clean and beautified city as well as the cleaning of the township General Administration Department staff housing by members of the police force and fire services and local residents.
Then, he observed and inspected the spraying of mosquito repellent in the schools and monasteries in the wards of Ngala Bwae and Kularba Taung and he coordinated the needs. Similarly in Buthitaung Township, Lt-Gen Aye Win from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and officials encouraged rescue workers and local people who are cleaning the bushes both side of the Maungtaw Road.
And then, he paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of the Waynayya Thuka Monastery and offered the day meal. And he viewed the providing of health care services to the cyclone affected people in Taung Ward.
Likewise, Major-General Thaung Htike Shwe and officials who are in Mrauk-U Township inspected and encouraged the cleaning the garbage and brunches of trees in the compound of a school by the Tatmadaw and members of the police force.
Also, Major-General Aung Myo Tun and officials who arrived in Rathedaung Township inspected and received the rice seeds provided by the State for the recovery of agriculture that was damaged by the Storm “Mocha” at the Rathedaung port.
Brigadier General Aung Thu Oo and officials who are in Kyauktaw Township and officials observed and inspected the collective cleaning of the designated land of the social welfare office.
In Maungtaw Township of Rakhine State, Brigadier General Tint Swe and officials checked the repairing the 11 KV power line and coordinated the needs.
