








A closing ceremony of the refresher course was held at the Myanmar Radio and Television in Yangon on 27th May.
Aiming to upgrade the capacity building of departmental staff, to understand and apply the skills in the workplace and to improve approach to other related sectors in broadcasting media, the refresher course was conducted for 2 months, from 13th March to 19th of May.
35 trainees attended the 2-month course, and 13 trainers provided knowledge related to the broadcast media during the training period.
Director (Music), MRTV, Kyi Tun said "In addition to the English translation, the trainers also share their working experiences on other general knowledge, which is very beneficial for our department “MRTV”. I’ve seen lots of effort of the trainees into this training course. And I believed the training provides many benefits for the department and the capacity building of our trainees."
Senior General Manager, Myanmar International Television, Han Myint said "This course is opened for the staff to gain more knowledge beyond its own knowledge, to have widen scope of knowledge, to gain more experience, to polish own skills and to understand the duties of broadcasting tasks in other sectors. I was satisfied with the course and I’ve already seen that every staff has their own skills and try very hard."
The principles of editing programs, program translation, narration, news editing and translation, concepts of post production and audio, basic principles of camera, basic concepts of graphics and colors were conducted through practical and theoretical aspects in this 2 months short-term training course.
Staff Officer, MRTV, Soe Thuzar Nwe said "This refresher course was conducted to help us understand the duties and we gained a lot of knowledge in addition to our assigned duties. Understanding and knowing the work flow and step by step procedures of other sectors at the workplace makes it more convenient to work with co-workers. As other related subjects with broadcasting media are conducted in this course, we’ve gained lots of experience and knowledge that can be applied in the workplace."
Junior Translator, MITV, Myo Pa Pa Aung said " I am currently working as a translator and I tried my best to learn the basics of how to use the camera, how to edit, and to make graphic designs. Through this course, I gained general knowledge about broadcasting media, which is beneficial for us. Thanks to all trainers for conducting this training course."
