Phase II Election : Acting President visits Polling Booths in Yangon

Myanmar commenced Phase II of the multi-party democracy general election on Sunday, with eligible voters casting their ballots at designated polling stations, contributing to the nation’s progress and democracy.

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited polling stations in Yangon Region to observe the voting process and provide encouragement. During their visit, they inspected the electoral systems at polling stations in Hlaing, Insein, and Latha townships, where officials were verifying voter lists using computer systems.

In a democratic system, elections are of utmost importance, as voters, exercising their fundamental rights as citizens, must use their voting power to decide the future course of the nation. The visit highlights the commitment of the country’s leadership to ensure a smooth and transparent election process, emphasizing the active role of the citizens in shaping Myanmar’s future.
