Conference On Security Issue: Myanmar delegation arrived back from Russian Federation

A delegation led by member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister For Union Government Office, National Security Advisor Lt-Gen Yar Pyae attended the 11th Conference On Security Issue Of Senior Officers held at Moscow in Russian Federation from 23rd to 25th may and left Moscow at local time (8:15) on 26th May and arrived at Yangon International Airport at 11:30 on 27th May.

The delegation was greeted by the officials from the Ministry For Union Government Office and Ministry of Home Affairs.Myanmar delegation led by the SAC member, Union Minister National Security Advisor Lt-Gen Yar Pyae attended 3rd ASEAN-Russian Meeting of High Level Officers discharging on security issue.

At the meeting, the NSA took part in the discussion regarding with the strategic stability and peace and its impact on the Asia-Pacific regional security including arms control and non-proliferation, the mutual coordination for the improvement of security and political situations of Asia-Pacific Region and exchanging information amidst the acceleration of tension among the regional powerful countries and revealing the prospects of responding the traditional and non-traditional security challenges.

On 24th May, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of plenary session of 11th Conference on Security Issue of Senior Officers.

At the meeting, the high level representatives from the participant countries discussed the general issues in the international arena, new opportunities and challenges and global food security.

In the evening on the same day, the delegation held the bilateral meetings with the leader of Thai delegation deputy general security of Thai security council Mr. Ruchakornnapapornpipat, secretary of Russian security council Mr. Nikolay Patrushev, member of the political bureau of the CPC central committee ၊  secretary of the central secretariat and secretary of the central political and legal committee Mr. Chen Wenqing and exchanged views on bilateral relation and cooperation between Myanmar-Thai, Myanmar-Russian Federation and Myanmar-China.In the evening, the delegation attended the honoring dinner hosted by the secretary of Russian Security CouncilMr. Nikolay Patrushev together with the representatives from 103 countries and 6 international organizations.

On 25th May, the SAC Member Union Minister NSA Lt-Gen Yar Pyae held a bilateral meeting with deputy national security advisor of India Mr. Rajinder Khanna and exchanged views on the bilateral relation and cooperation and the development of peacemaking process of Myanmar. Next, the plenary session of 11th Conference on Security Issue of Senior Officers was held under the topic of Global Food Security and the delegation leader of Myanmar took part in the discussion.

Similarly, Deputy Minister for Home Affairs, Chief of Myanmar Police Force Maj-Gen Zin Min Htet met with the Russian counterpart and discussed the bilateral cooperation in the Anti-narcotic drugs measures.

In the afternoon, Chief of Myanmar Police Force participated in the roundtable discussion on Anti-Illegal drug trafficking and the international cooperation.In the evening, the Myanmar delegation attended the closing ceremony of 11th Conference On Security Issue Of Senior Officers.
