






Three Warships from the India Navy, carrying the relief items for the cyclone hit victims arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon in the afternoon of Thursday. Ambassador of India to Myanmar Mr.Vinay Kumar clarified the providing of relief aids to the affected victims. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein also expressed his gratitude, and accepted the relief aids.
The Indian Navy warships INS-Shivalik, INS-Kamorta and INS-Savitri were loaded with about 25 tons of supplies such as ready-to-eat noodles, nutritious biscuits, canned fish, tents, tarpaulin sheets, blankets, flashlights, solar lamps, wheelchairs, walking crutches, portable generators, water pumps, Chain Saws, personal hygiene items, cleaning materials (water, fire, sewage) and medicine etc. The relief aids were transported to Sittwe via Mingaladon Air Base.
