Chinese performance artist's Earth Day display

Chinese performance artist Kong Ning presented her new installation, titled “Sing for the Earth”, to mark World Earth Day in Beijing on Saturday.Kong wore a costume composed of 200 balloons in the shape of microphones and a headset of the Earth.

Kong said the idea is for each country in the world to express their gratitude to nature and the planet.Kong has displayed her iconic wearable artwork on each Earth Day for more than a decade, to draw the public’s attention to environmental issues.
