






Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe together with responsible officials viewed the students sitting for the third day of 2023 matriculation examination at the No. (7) Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township on Friday.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Education Officer, Township Education Officers and exams supervisors explained the work implementations at the respective exam centers and the salients points of the Board of Examinations. The Union Minister stressed the needs to prioritize for the students to sit for the exams peacefully.
He called for cooperative efforts of all the teachers and concerned officials for successful completion of the matriculation exams in line with the rules and regulations. He also said that any necessities and special events will be fulfilled as soon as possible in a timely manner during the examination.
The Union Minister and party later visited No. (6) and No. (14) Basic Education High Schools in Zubithiri Township, and fulfilled the needs. For the students to take the exams peacefully, systematic monitoring at the school environs has been provided by the Security Members, Traffic Police, Health Staffs, Red Cross Society Members, Firefighters and Ward Administrators in cooperation with the teachers.
A total of 7,118 students registered to take the exam at 39 examination centers in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, and 6,420 students sat for the Mathematics Subject of the exam, accounting for 90.19 percent.
As the national level, a total of 179,843 students registered to take the exam at 858 internal examination centers throughout Myanmar and 5 foreign examination centers totally 836 examination centers. Among them, 161,633 students took the mathematics subject exam, accounting for 89.87 percent.
