Good Management and Leadership Skills: SG meets senior officer instructors and trainees

Chairman of the State Adminsitration Council Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held meeting with senior officer instructors and senior officer trainees of the Command and General Staff College in Kalaw at the Kalaw station hall on Monday.

At the meeting, the Senior General said that in regard with management of a battalion, the chief of staff, military operation and quarter master affairs must be carried out. If they systematically study and carry out the management of a battalion, they will gain good experiences on management that can be applied in other fields.

The military Commanders and General Staffs need to apply the military skills that they have learned as well as need to have good leadership skills. To ensure that the soldiers in the army are fully competent, the commanders themselves need to lead and provide trainings. By carrying out responsibilities and the tasks daily, it needs to provide constant training.

They need to systematically build the army that they lead with training, adminstration and welfare tasks. The Senior General added that regarding welfare activities of the battalion, the agriculture and livestock breeding of families on manageable scale have to be encouraged and it will support their financial use for food and clothing on the other hand.

The Senior General stressed that they need to serve the duties dutifully that they are assigned and it is necessary to improve the morale of military service personnel. Depending on the individual's ability  and performance, it needs to be assigned tasks that are suitable for them and they must be always ready to fit for duty.

Only then, the tasks will be more successful. In order to become successful leaders, efforts must be made to achieve the tasks. Only when they study well, their thoughts and ideas will be improved. The Senior General pointed out that if the leadership and performance of individual commanders are good, the qualificiaitons of their battalions and troops will be high and the ability of the entire army will also be enchanced.

Later, the Senior General and party cordially greeted the instructors and trainee officers. In the afternoon, the Senior General and party had lunch together with senior officer instructors and senior officer trainees of the Command and General Staff College.
