Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, vehicle and timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 1st and 2nd of March, illegal goods including rice, broken rice, uninterruptible power supply, floor carpet, stand fans, packing film, cooking oil, beer, liquor, vehicles, teak, black sesame and timber worth over 375 million Kyats were confiscated at the 16-mile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint, at the Myanma Industrial Port and at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint as well as on the Myawaddy-Hpa-An-Yangon Road and in the industrial zone No .1 (south Dagon Township), Dagon Myothit (South) Township, Sanchaung Township, Hlegu Township, at the 4-mile Combined Checkpoint and in Bago and Phyu townships.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
