Naung Bo Lake: Repaired to the Naung Bo Lake

Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department repaired with the capital expenditure to the Naung Bo Lake for pleasant in Hopone Township of Southern Shan state in 2022-2023 fiscal year. At present, it has been completed.

According to an official of the Department of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management, said " This lake does not supply water for agriculture. This lake fill groundwater to the well.And it was situated in the middle of the town. So, this place is the relaxing place and to do exercise for the townspeople. We can take the water for the fire outbreak from this lake. The Irrigation Department was built it but we will transfer to the Township Administration Committee for the maintenance. Our department maintaining and distributing the drinking water and for irrigation from the 4 dams. In this township has over 10,000 acres of land. The department haveMyoma sluice gate, Nanat Paung Lay sluice gate, Nant Kwe sluice gate and Nant Kae Thar sluice gate. And also, the department built the reservoir the rain catchment due to the climate change. The main duty is the distribution of water for the irrigation."
