Visit to Sittaw Station: Meeting with officers, other ranks and families

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held meeting with officers, other ranks and their families of Local Navy Headquarters in Sit Taw station of the Western Command on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the Senior General explained about the role of Tatmadaw in the national political leadership role of the state, the conditions led by the Tatmadaw to implement the multi-party democratic system which is the desire of the people, lack of trust in the elected government by the public due to the weaknesses in management and administration during the second term of the democratic government although there are progress in politics, social and economy in the time of democratic government, taking the state responsibilities by Tatmadaw due to voting frauds in 2020 General Election, systematic arrangements for correct voter lists in upcoming election by taking lesson from voting errors in the previous election, efforts for holding a free and fair election and continuous endeavours for politics, peace and all round development among the difficulties.

The Senior General added thatthe main responsibility of the Tatmadaw is to carry out national defense duties and the Tatmadaw (Army), (Navy) and (Air) must protect land, water and air territories with collective strength. In order to be a good army, the people serving in the army must be competent and to be good morale.

The distinctiveness of KyaukPhyu area is the border between land and water and so the local battalions must carry out water and ground security duties. He also continued to say that officers, other ranks and families must understand the pragmatic conditions of the country and they must have military awareness and security views.

He also stressed on serving the duties for the interests of their battalion and the region, carrying out agriculture and breeding tasks in manageable scale, reading books and periodicals to improve their knowledge and encouraging to promoting education of their offspring.

After that, the Senior General presented food stuff for officers, other ranks and families to the Commander of the Local Navy Base. Wife of the SAC Chairman Senior General also presented cash for the Station Maternal and Child Welfare Association. After the meeting, the Senior General and party cordially greeted officers, other ranks and their families and fulfilled the needs on their reports. The Senior General and party then viewed around the Navy Headquarters in motorcade.
