Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 24th and 25th of February, illegal goods including Lactasoy, single-side decorative laminate paper, brake lever, brake handle, timber and toilet commodes worth over 135 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and at the Asia World Container Inspection Gate as well as near the Kalay-Tamu Road and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) joint inspection checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
