Earthquake & Fire Drill: Drill conducted at University of Mandalay

Mandalay Region Government conducted an earthquake and fire drill at the University of Mandalay in Maha Aungmyay Township. The regional chief minister U Myo Aung and many other officials oversaw the drill at the 4-storey building of the University.

This drill included earthquake disaster response and evacuation while students are studying in classrooms, searching and rescuing people trapped inside the collapsed building according to ASR (Assessment Search and Rescue) LEVEL, treatment,  demonstration of practical extinguishing of fuel fires and GAS fires and demonstration of the capabilities of the LUF 60 (Remotely Controlled Mobile Fire Fighting Support Unit).

After the drill, the Chief Minister presented cash awards to those who participated in the drill and gave necessary instructions for earthquake and fire response.
