Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister met with staff in Sittwe

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe met with the staff in Sittwe of Rakhine State on Sunday. He said the ministry is prioritizing for socio-economic development of the rural people, job creation and income generation. He urged the need to make cooperation and coordination amogn the 4 different departments for successful implementation of the objectives and mission of the ministry.

He also stressed the need to strive for the success of the MSME businesses based on agriculture and livestock sector for development of rural areas. It is targeted to export the products of small scale industries after providing sufficiently for the domestic market. He pointed out that the ministry is also make cooperative efforts for providing the seeds, inputs, technology and other necessities for agriculture and livestock sectors.

He also stressed the needs to carry out for the success of the Emerald Green Project which is being carried out by State Economic Promotion Fund. He called for timely completion of the projects being carried out during the 2022-2023 fiscal year, meeting the set standards.
