Boosting Production of Edible Oil: MOC Union Minister addresses at the meeting in Yangon

Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries held a meeting for boosting production and sufficiency of edible oil on Friday. Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo made a speech, saying that the government is implementing for sufficiency of edible oil locally by laying down the policy.

It needs cooperation of all involved persons including farmers, oil mill owners and the entrepreneurs who import and distribute edible oil. It is time to make preparations to transform from oil importer to the exporter. He called for cooperation of all the entrepreneurs for boosting the yields of edible oil crops including sunflower, development of oil mill industries and promoting the production process of edible oil.
