Coordination Meeting: Drafting NSPAW Phase II discussed

The coordination meeting on the drafting the National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women (NSPAW) Phase II was held at the Lake View Hall of Aureum Palace Hotel in the evening on Friday.

The Chair of Leading Committee for drafting National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women (NSPAW) Phase II Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, Committee Vice chairs deputy minister for border affairs and deputy minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, committee members deputy ministers, vice chair of Myanmar National Human Rights Committee, chair of Myanmar Women Affairs Federation, work committee members and officials attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing said National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women-NSPAW)(2021-2022)(Phase 1) was drafted under the guidance of Myanmar National Committee on Women. The project period of that Strategic Plan has expired in 2022.

After reviewing the advantages and disadvantages of the project, the collective cooperation is needed to continue drafting the Phase II. Next, the director general of the department of social welfare clarified regarding with drafting National Strategic Plan for the Advancement of Women (NSPAW) Phase II.

Then, the members of leading committee and work committee gave suggestions and the union minister gave a speech of conclusion.
