24th Anniversary of EYU: Beauty Pageant & other performances included

To commemorate the 24th Anniversary of East Yangon University, Beauty Pageant competition was held at the convocation hall on Thursday. The ceremony was held starting from 20th to 24th February and on the 23rd of February, Beauty Pageant competition and live music performances of the students were included.  

Pro-Rector, Dr. Aye Aye Ko, East Yangon University, said " By holding this kind of competitions at the universities and colleges, Myanmar ladies can able to show their physical and mental beauty. Besides, the competition was held with the aim to be healthy and to improve their knowledge and abilities in other fields."

In this Beauty Pageant competition, 22 university students were participated and the contestant ladies have to wear either Myanmar traditional dresses or their ethnic traditional dresses. 

First Year Student (Zoology), Kyawt Swe Zin Theint, East Yangon University, said " My contestant number is 16 and I’m very excited for this competition because this is the first time for me. I’m very proud of being one of the contestants in this Beauty Pageant competition and I’d like to say thanks to the related officials for holding this kind of competition."

On the 24th of February, the dance performance of the students was held and this is the last ceremony of the first semesters in 2022-2023 Academic Year.  After that, the examination will be held on the 1st of march.
