Work Coordination Meeting: MoSWRR held work coordination meeting on ECI

The work coordination meeting on the Early Childhood Intervention–ECI and opening ceremony of multiplier course of ECI was held at the Mingalarthiri Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on February 22 with the attendance of Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine, Deputy Minister U Soe Kyi, senior officials and trainees.In her opening speech, the Union Minister said in the meeting the reviewing and on the work implementations of Early Childhood Care and Development carried out at four pilot projects regions according to the strategy policy-3 of Myanmar Early Childhood Care and Development plan (2014) and future work plans to be discussed.

Regarding with the ECI processes, to think about the methods to be implemented and give suggestions, to include it in the coming Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) traing courses as a subject for those whoattended the ECI training courses, reviewing the implementations and drawing the curriculumns, giving ToT training, conducting awareness programs at the preschools, self-reliencepre schools, mothers’ cycles and philanthropic homes and ECI evaluation by drawing the plans, the early childhood intervention (ECI) services will be implemented.

Next, the director general of the department of social welfare clarified the evaluation on the work process of early childhood intervention and rehabilitation services and the work process that can be implemented under the present circumstances. The coordination meeting on early childhood care and development evaluation and setting the work plans for ECI will be held from 22nd to 23rd February, 2023 will take place at Mingalarthiri Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw and 25 trainees who are from relevant field from the regions and states are attending the training, it’s learnt.
