Inspection Tour: Production of anti-snake venoms, textiles and plates

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than inspects the Anti-snake Venom Production Division (Hmawbi), No.34 Heavy Factory (Thayawady) and No.1 Garment Factory (Shwe Taung) Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than arrived at the Anti-snake Venom Production Division in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region on 19th February and inspected breeding of horses used in medicines and snakes for producing anti-venoms and called for taking special care to be healthy horses to be used for manufacturing medicines and arrangements for clean and tidy the horse farms and called for systematic keeping of snakes to produce poison.

The Anti- snake Venom Production Division is producing blood serum from medicinal horses that are necessary for production of anti-venoms and tetanus vaccines according to the fiscal year.

The Union Minister then arrived in No.34 Heavy Factory in Thayawady, Bago Region and looked into production processes of plates and bowls and called for systematic checking, conducting multiplier courses, arrangements for achieving production and constant training for qualified staffs.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited No.1 Garment Factory (Shwe Taung) and viewed around test-running of Jet Dyeing Machine, installation of machine parts, operating machines, arrangements for disseminating dying technologies by conducting multiplier courses, operation of machines with full capacity, boosting production of textiles, preparation for sewing uniforms ordered by respective Ministries on time, exercising fire drill for fire safety measures and keeping fire extinguishing equipment.
