Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha ThayaySithuThadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing sent a message on 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Chin National Day on Monday.
The Prime Minister wished for well-being of all national brethren together with Chin nationals on this significant day. He continued that Chin nationals have been living in unity together with other national people throughout the history, and also took part in the independence struggles.
After gaining Indepedence, Chin National Assembly was held in Falam from 19th to 22ndFebruary 1948, with the attendance of over 5,000 representatives, and laid down the future plans for practicing democracy. February 20th was designated as the Chin National Day, and it now reached 75th anniversary.
The role of Chin national Leaders play crucial for the emergence of the Chin National Day. The Prime Minister urged the entire Chin nationals to strive to emerge the good leaders who could preserve the fine traditions and promote the prestige of the Chin State and its people in the future.
He added that Chin State possesses beautiful natural landscapes with cold and pleasant weather. At present, there are destructive acts and violating the rule of law in some areas of Chin State, andit could tarnish the fine traditions of the state while posing a great danger to the country. He urged all to understand the root cause of the instability and to have awareness on the acts of instigation that could destroy the nation.The Prime Minister said the State Administration Council is carrying out for successful implementation of 5-point road map along with the political, economic and social objectives during its tenure of takign the state’s responsibility. Effortsare being made for ending armed conflicts for achieveing internal peace while establishing the friendly relations with the international community. Only when the stability of the state, security and rule of law have been back to normalcy, the development endeavours could be implemented further. He called for cooperation of all entire people for the emergence of a union based on democracy and federal system.
