









MoeHnyin University held the very first Covocation Ceremony on 17th February. Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the ceremony, together with the officials, graduate students and parents.
The Rector presented the graduation certificates to the students who completed the Bachelors of Art and Science and Bachelors of Art and Science (Honours).
The Chief Minister spoke words of honour to the graduate students, and urged them to take part in the efforts of the interest of the nation and its people. The Rector also delivered a graduation speech.
The Chief Minister and party later inspected implementation of Smart Village Project at NantHlaing Village. In meeting with the villagers, the Chief Minister called for cooperative efforts for boosting agriculture and livestock works and production.
Officials reported on the progress of work undertaking for the Smart Village, and providing technical assistance for progress of cooperative works.
The Chief Minister later presented 30 million kyats for agriculture works to be implemented by YadanaHlaing Agriculture and Cooperative Association. He also coordinated requirements for construction of rural health branch office, concrete paving of the village roads and maintenance of the bridge connecting Namtee and NantHlaing villages.
The Chief Minister and party then looked into the display of work undertaking process for the Smart Village and the foodstuff, produced by the village. They also inspected SoPyay Rice Mill, and discussed for operation of the mill, availability of raw materials, market condition and assistance from the State Economic Development Fund.
On the 18th, the Chief Minister and party inspected the collective cleaning campaign in the compound of Myitkyina university, and viewed the thriving of shady trees that have been planted during the previous monsoon tree planting season.
