Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message to President of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries falling on the 18th of February 2023.

Myanmar always considers Russia an important and reliable partner. Bonds of friendship and cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and cultural sectors will be elevated to new heights with the inauguration of the Myanmar Consulates-General in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk in the near future.

The year 2023 is an opportune time not only to commemorate the historic milestone in the bilateral ties but also to reflect and invigorate the bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. A series of commemorative events and activities planned to be held on both sides throughout the year will also pave the way for the further advancement of the bilateral relationship.
