Government Technical High Schools: Aim to Improve Socio-economic of Locals

As the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DTVET) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, 30 Government Technical High Schools were established across the country and conducting the subjects depending on the business of regions and states and also for the youths to utilize what they learnt in their respective workplaces.  

Likewise, during 2023-2024 academic year, 51 Basic Education High Schools for Technical, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding will be opened and the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training will also participate in providing courses theoretically and practically.

According to the officer, over 30 Government Technical High Schools were opened across the country including Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw. The one who completed the middle school level can join and about 3 to 8 major subjects are being conducted fundamentally according to the types of businesses of locals. And also the schools train focusing on theoretically and practically.

By opening these kinds of high schools across the country, it can create more job opportunities for the youths.
