Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On the 14th, 15th and 16thof February, illegal goods including grinding wheel, Assy Pcb Thyratron Pulser,rechargeable LED bulbs, tiles, fuel oil, teak, hardwood and ceiling fans worth over 307 million Kyats were confiscated at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Yangon International Airport, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the combined checkpoint in Bawlake Township, in Toungoo and Nattalin districts and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
