Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, trailer jeeps and timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 12th and 13th of February, illegal goods including black sesame, electric fans, car parts, pieces of iPad Air & iPad Pro glass defender, cosmetics, WiFi repeaters, jammers,teak, hardwood and unregistered trailer jeeps worth over 878 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mingyi Thone Par checkpoint in Shan State, at the Myanmar International Terminals (Thilawa) and at the Hteedan Port container checkpoint as well as on the Muse-Namhkam Road and in Thayawaddy and Nyaunglebin districts and in Monywa township. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
