Launching Water Distribution: MoALI Union Minister attended launching water distribution

In commemorating 76th Anniversary Union Day, a ceremony of launching the water distribution with electric river water pumping system from Hsin-Thay Creek temporary reservoir was held near the reservoir in Aye Myint Thayar Village, Pubbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in the afternoon on 11th February with the attendance of Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Coucil U Tin Oo Lwin, Deputy Ministers, officials and farmers who will use the water.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister U Min Naung said that the Ministry is putting effort to implement Nay Pyi Taw to be Clean City, Green City, Smart City. For being a region greening all year round, the irrigation water which is the main requirement for the leveling up the double crops and development of agriculture and livestock breeding sector is being implemented.

At the same time, exploring water resources and effective usage of existing water resources are being carried out from all corners to overcome the challenges encountered due to the climate change etc.

Next, the chairman of district administration council, assistant director from Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and two farmer representatives opened the ceremony by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and the deputy minister Dr. Aung Gyi and member of Nay Pyi Taw Council Col. Min Naung launched the water distribution by pressing the button of water pumping and water sprinkling.

Likewise, the deputy minister Dr. Tin Htut and member of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Myint Soe, assistant director of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and two farmer representatives launched the water distribution by pressing the button of water pumping and water sprinkling.
