Collective Blood Donation: MPT conducted collective blood donation

In honoring and hailing the 76th Anniversary of Union Day, the public service personnel from the Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications under the Ministry of Transport and Communications conducted collective blood donation at Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay on Friday.

The blood donation in Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed General Hospital was viewed and encouraged by the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San. A total of 223 blood donors including 43 in Nay Pyi Taw, 153 in Yangon and 27 in Mandalay participated in the collective blood donation and the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, deputy ministers, heads of departments, hospital medical superintendent and officials tended and encouraged the donors and presented foodstuff and medicines.

Then, the Union Minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win presented certificate of honor and the Deputy Prime Minister reciprocated memorable gifts.Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications initiated the collective blood donation program around the country since 2016 and this is the 10th edition, it’s learnt.
