





The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan held a coordination meeting with the state government members, chairmen of district administration councils and the departmental officials in the morning on February 8 for the extension of growing local species of bamboos in the districts to implement the natural growing bamboo-based industries in the state.
At the meeting, the chief minister said as the head of state gave a guidance to grow the specified species of bamboo to implement the natural growing bamboo-based industries and a factory which manufactures double smooth papers from bamboo pulp is under construction, the extension of bamboo cultivation will be implemented in the relevant districts. It needs the coordinated effort with the collaboration of the groups and associations to achieve the target.
The state government members, departmental officials, chairmen of districts clarified the processes by drawing the plans to grow the bamboo at the specified areas, the prospects of achieving to grow the local species of bamboo such as Wabo, Wanet, Hmyin Wa, Kyathaung Wa, Tin-Wa, Htiyo-Wa with farmers and village cooperatives, status of forming supervising committee etc.
In the afternoon, the coordination meeting of the loan disbursement advisory board with the state, district and township board members.
At the meeting, the chief minister said that as the success of agricultural sector plays a vital role for the development of the country’s economy, the agricultural loans, development loan and loan for agricultural base industries from Myanma Agricultural Development Bank. It’s needed to find the ways to mitigate the due and overdue loans and to collect more repayments.
Next, the chairman of the loan disbursement advisory board state minister for economic affairs U Myo Swe, Kachin State Manager of Myanma Agricultural Development Bank clarified the related matters and the chief minister coordinated necessaries.
