Inspections in Yangon Region: Chief Minister inspects construction and preparations

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein made inspections in Hlegu, Taikkyi, Hlaing, Aphyauk and Dagon townships.

First, the Chief Minister inspected the Darbein-Thaphyu Bridge approach road, level crossing construction at the Yangon-Mandalay railway junction and upgrade of the Hlegu-KyoeKone Road and the Taikkyi-Phaunggyi-Bago Road.

After hearing reports, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions. He also inspected the bank erosion spot between the Mile No. 42/7 and 50 in Aphyauk Township, heard report and stressed the importance of prevention work.

Also, pledging to provide assistance, the Chief Minister urged concerned officials to move 44 households near the bank erosion spot to a safe place.  He also inspected completion of construction of Parami Road in Hlaing Township and preparations at the People’s Square and in front of the Yangon Region Government office to commemorate the 76th Union Day.
