Commemoration of Union Day: Chief Minister opens Fire Services Dept. in Magway area

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the opening ceremony of KanPyar ကန်ပြား Village Fire Services Department in Magway Towship to commemorate the 76th Union Day.

In his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Services Department  which are fire safety, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue and public service.

To carry out fire safety and search and rescue operations in the region faster and more efficiently, the regional government has established 9 Fire Services departments including this one. The Chief Minister also urged members of the Fire Services Department to have a good perception, teamwork and skills and to study the changing international firefighting techniques and strive to apply.

It’s learnt that this KanPyar ကန်ပြား Village Fire Services Department will play a key role in fire safety and search and rescue services as the Village is situated at the junction of Nay Pyi Taw- KanPyar Road, Magway-Natmauk Road and Magway-Yenanchaung Road.
