Healthcare facility: Station hospital construction in Pwintbyu Township area

Kyaung Taw Yar station hospital is being built with the 2020-21 Budget to give health care services systematically to locals.

Kyaung Taw Yar station hospital near Kyaung Taw Yar Village in Pwintbyu Township intends to give health care services to 27,250 people from 24 villages.The 16-bed Kyaung Taw Yar station hospital is being built with 598.5 million Kyats of the Union Government Fund.

Staff Officer, Public Health Department(Pwintbyu Township), Dr. Moe Thit Htun, said " The station hospital will have 16 beds, staff housing, water supply and autopsy lab.Now, 81 % of the construction process is completed. Upon completion, locals from Kyaung Taw Yar village and nearby areas don’t need to go far to see doctors - they can receive health care here."

In Pwintbyu Township of Magway region, one 25-bed people’s hospital, four 16-bed station hospitals, six rural healthcare departments, thirty sub-rural healthcare departments, one maternal and child welfare association are also providing healthcare services for over 180,000 people from 205 villages.
