Industrial Sector: Inspection at Pang Pet Steel Factory and MPF Museum

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited No.2 Steel Factory (Pang Pet) (ပင်းပက်) in Taunggyi Township of Shan State on 28th January. The Union Minister met with the experts from Russia who are carrying out the inspection process of the machinery at Waste-to-Energy Power Plant.

He later looked into the process of inspection the steam turbine and generators, and urged for speedy installation of the machinery. The Union Minister instructed the staff to involve in the installation process of the machinery for receiving the handing over of the technical know-how.

He also met with the staff, and said that 19 workshops out of 22 in the factory have successfully operated trial run on 21st January with no load test. He called for cooperative efforts of the staff for convenient operation of three major workshops, Romelt Shop, Heat Recovery Power Station and Air Separation Unit. Earlier in the morning, the Union Minister visited Myanmar Pharmaceutical Factory in Insein Township of Yangon Region and inspected the construction site of factory museum.
