75th Anniversary of MoL: MoL held 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Day

The celebration for the Ministry of Labour’s 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Day which has been fallen on 4th of January, 2023 was held at the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on January 26.

Present at the occasion were the Union Minister for Labour Dr. Pwint Hsan, Deputy Minister U Win Shein, permanent secretary, directors general, departmental officials, special guests of retired Union Ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretary and directors general.At the occasion, the Union Minister said as the ministry of labour was born with the country’s independence, the 4th of January was designated as the anniversary day of the ministry.

The ministry’s anniversary was held in the previous times. The 75th anniversary has been reached on the January 4 and it is historic anniversary diamond jubilee day. The aims at celebration of diamond jubilee anniversary day are to be memorable the path trodden by the ministry and be delighted by reviewing overcoming the weaknesses, strengths and challenges, from the diamond jubilee onward to the many years to come to be sustainable and moving forward retaining the momentum with unity among the service personnel warmly like a family etc.

During the occasion, the video clip on the brief history of the ministry was screened and the gifts of honor were presented to the retired union ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretary, and directors general. Next, the 3 senior officials who are attending the training course, one article writer, 15 outstanding award recipients in the trainings, 5 excellent performance award recipients, 16 blood donors who donated 15 times and above, 10 prize winners at the ministerial level article, painting, essay and poem contests held in commemoration of 76th Union Day were presented certificate and cash of honor. 

Afterward, the union minister, deputy minister, permanent secretary and directors general and special guests were hosted with lunch, presented gifts to the service personnel by drawing ballot and entertained with the songs and dances, it’s learnt.
