Co-CEO of SKorean chat app steps down over outage

South Korean tech giant Kakao's co-CEO NamKoongWhon announced he would step down to take the responsibility for the unprecedented shutdown of the company's mobile messenger Kakaotalk and other related services.

The decision came Wednesday after the company suffered a massive server outage caused by a fire in its main data center last week.That caused a blackout across the company's services, including South Korea's dominant messaging app Kakaotalk.
