Ritual offerings with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's name were seen at a Tokyo shrine. The "masakaki" religious ornaments arrived as Yasukuni Shrine, which marks the start of its autumn festival.

During the first half of the 20th century, China and the Koreas see the shrine as a symbol of Japanese militarism because it honors convicted war criminals amongst the about 2.5 million war dead.. Seiichi Eto, former Minister of State for Measures for Declining Birthrate, was seen visiting the shrine on Monday.
