
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended a ceremony to plant the fresh water mangrove trees at Muslinda Lake in the compound of Mara Vijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw, in conjunction with the setting up of the Pitaka Stone Plaques.
After listening to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaws and sanghas led by the Patron Sayadaw of Maha ThihaNaDa Monastery in Tatkone, the Prime Minister and party took position at the designated places for planting the fresh water mangrove trees.
It was followed by the reading out of the rituals, the Prime Minister put the gems at the site and planted the fresh water mangrove tree No.1. SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and party later planted the fresh water mangrove treeno.2 and SAC member Manh Nyein Maung and party planted no.3 fresh water mangrove tree.
The Sayadaws and the Prime Minister and party later proceeded to the site to set up the Pitaka Stone Plaques, and set up the stone plaques.
The Prime Minister later explained the construction of the Mara Vijaya Marble Buddha Image, which will become a largest and tallest sculpture in the world. The Prime Minister and party later inspected the construction progress of the Buddha Image, retaining wall, Muslinda Lake, Prayer Halls and stone plaques.
