Intellectual Property Rights : Symposium of research paper presentation on IP rights

The Supreme Court of the Union organized the ‘Symposium of Research Paper Presentation on Intellectual Property Rights’ on Saturday at the Judicial College of the Supreme Court of the Union in a hybrid format.

The event aims for enhancing the judicial and legal research capabilities of judicial officers, as outlined in Strategic Action Area 4 and Strategic Objective 4.2 of Year 4 Action Plan (2026) and the Judicial Strategic Plan (2023–2027).

Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay attended the event and delivered his opening address. At the symposium, officials presented research papers on “Strengthening Online Platform Responsibility for Trademark Protection in Myanmar,” “Trademark Dilution in the Digital Age”, “Author's Right Protection in Myanmar,” and “Legal Protection of Moral Rights under Copyright Law in Myanmar.”
