Marcos Jr. being sworn in as president

Philippine President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte arrived at their inauguration ceremony after winning landslide victories in last month's elections. Ferdinand Marcos Jr was sworn in as president of the Philippines in Manila on Thursday.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr, President of the Philippines said “You people have spoken and it is reassembly .When I call for unity when it started to resonated with you … to deliver the biggest electoral mandate in the historical Philippine democracy”.

Marcos Jr. is the son of former dictator Ferdinand Marcos and succeeds Rodrigo Duterte as the country's 17th president.
