Drug Elimination Efforts: Seized narcotic drugs destroyed in Mandalay Region

Over 316 billion worth of narcotic drugs have been destroyed in Mandalay Region at a ceremony to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26th June.

Mandalay Region Committee on Drug Abuse Control organized the ceremony. 25 kinds of narcotic drugs were destroyed during the ceremony including opium, heroin, stimulant tablets, marihuana and ketamine.  

The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is marked on 26th June every year to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.
