Illegal Trade: Timbers, Lead (Metal), Unregistered Vehicles Seized

The effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee. Under the instructions of the Anti-Illicit Trade Task Force of Tanintharyi Region, a combined inspection seized 2,901 visses of illegally stored lead (metal) at the Myitta Yinaye Parahita  monastery compound in Shanchaung ward of Kalwin  village-tract of Myeik District on 20 June.

On the same day, a combined inspection team confiscated foodstuffs without official documents at the Phayagyi  Tollgate. On 21 and 22 June, illegal timbers in the Bago and Thayawady districts. Similarly, inspections led by the Myanmar Police Force captured an unregistered Canda motorbike and an unregistered Toyota Crown car in Shwebo township on 21 June.

Therefore, seven arrests estimated at 166.434 million Kyats were made on three consecutive days from 20 to 22 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
