Two dead in northern England helicopter crash

Two people have died after a helicopter crashed in North Yorkshire in the UK's northeast. North Yorkshire Police say the crash happened near the village of Burton in Lonsdale.

Aerial footage from U.K. broadcaster Sky showed the crash site near a tree in the hedgerows of a field. Further footage showed police vehicles nearby, and road cordons.

An investigation has been launched by the police force, who said the families of those killed had been contacted and were being supported by officers.
