Algeria, Venezuela agree to economic cooperation

Algeria and Venezuela agreed to establish an agenda of mutual economic cooperation that includes the opening of air travel between Algiers and Caracas.

The deal was truck after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro met with his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Algiers.

Maduro had arrived in Algeria on Wednesday evening, where he was greeted at the capital's airport by Algeria's prime minister, as he began what Algeria state APS news agency has called a two-day "working and friendship visit."
